what are some possible treatments for vein disease?

so i just found out i have vein disease. idk if it’s a specific one but my doctor just told me vein disease. some of my valves aren’t working properly and my blood is running up and down the wrong vein on both legs i think :/ i guess making it a little difficult to go up to my heart. my legs looks perfectly fine right now though, i am a 24 year old female and i don’t have any noticeable varicose or spider veins (yet). since my mother and sister both have vein problems, and i believe my grandmother had them too i think my condition is hereditary as i do not smoke, nor am i overweight. i admit i somewhat lazy but i do walk a lot and exercise (not as much as i should though, working on that). anyways i just wanted to know if exercising more will help out my situation. i do know that they could never be "cured" so i’m trying to avoid any surgical procedure as possible. all my doctor gave me was compression stockings, and they actually do feel pretty good. my doctor said i might need a surgical procedure though but sometime in the next couple of years if i experience any other symptoms like swollen legs and stuff like that, and esp. if i decide to have kids. i haven’t told my mom about this yet since i know she has varicose veins herself and has had them removed (she is in her 50′s), i’m thinking of telling her in the future if i ever do need some type of surgery… what do you guys think?? do you think this is a dangerous disease? my doctor said i shouldn’t worry right now though… but idk i am such a worry wart and hypochondriac. i am just gonna wear my stockings and exercise for now… ugh
